February Haiku

A co-worker on facebook posted a "Pothole Haiku" as her status this week and inspired me. I love haiku! And it's been a while, so here are a few haiku I wrote about the month of February.

Fourth month of winter/
Oh look, another gray cloud/
How many more weeks?

Glad for Valentine's/
Or else month would be a bust/
Though March not better

Big holes of dread/
My bloody tongue reminds me/
Have to swerve next time

Furnace is tired/
Running marathons all day/
Expensive racing

Rubber on ice, slide/
Guardrail not very sturdy/
Facing wrong way now

Hello I am here/
Under all of these layers/
Warm, but can't move much

Heavy boots on feet/
Forgot what my toes look like/
Wonder if they still exist

I am all caught up! I agree with you re: Fat Tuesday - I don't like paczki either--too many calories and fat grams for something that doesn't taste that good!

Hope you MCL is getting better. You have time to train and I will see you at the finish line on Mother's Day! I need to beef up my walking and biking!

I enjoyed the Vegas story...those guys are slick and even after you own a condo, they still want you to go to a "90 min pesentation." I have decided to take a timer (if I ever go again) and walk out after 90 min!

'warm under all these layers, can't move' = my favorite! Made me laugh out loud...oh still laughing!
